Pins and Needles in Los Angeles
on 6/11/2013 7:25:45 PM
Once upon a time, there was an Eastside-based Los Angeles lady who loved pinball. That story continues at a place called Pins and Needles in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. Molly Atkinson runs this place when she's not doing costuming and professional sewing. Many of you who live on Planet Pinball probably know her name. So, Pins and Needles, which usually is open from 2000 to 0200ish most days, is the home of 23 pinball machines, all in top-notch condition. Molly is also a top-notch pinball mechanic!

I'm actively advertising P&N because I used to live in Los Angeles back in the 1980s, when there was pinball and videogames everywhere! Many of the big places to play are now gone (Captain Video's and the Sunset Bowl in Westwood, UCLA Ackerman Student Union, Family Fun Arcade in Granada Hills, Malibu Grand Prix in Northridge). Most of the places that are left don't treat pinball with any serious attitude at all.
So go to Pins and Needles and step back in time for a while. And tell Molly Steve Cartoon sent you.
