It's the most wonderful time of the year...

For a lot of us arcade players in the Puget Sound, this is The Really Big Shoe!
Last year it was held at the Tacoma Convention Center and got almost unanimous approval for a return venue. So it'll be held there this year too! In the Even Bigger Room next to where it was last year! It's got a stage and everything!
The most compelling reasons that the Tacoma Convention Center won out over the Seattle Center were:
1) Parking. Bloody Easy within a two-block radius of the Convention Center as opposed to graduation day traffic in the Queen Anne area.
2) Ventilation. The Seattle Center air-con units were in constant use all three days. The Tacoma Convention Center area has VERY HIGH ceilings (about 40') and their air-con didn't even seem to be breaking a sweat.
3) Power Points: Apparently the Seattle Center had a hard time with our power requirements. Again, no sweat for Tacoma, though they said we'd put one of the bigger loads on them.

We're hoping to break last year's record of 410 games at the show.

It's happening next Friday through Sunday. If you're there, look for the tie-dye shirt! If it's not me, it's someone who knows me!
