Dave & Busters/Funspot: What defines an "arcade"?
on 9/14/2009 7:42:31 PM
While Dave & Busters locations have separate arcade sections, it is not their main function. I recently added the NYC Dave & Busters location, and labeled it a "restaurant". I feel an arcade is an arcade when it is not subsidized by another business. Dave & Busters have restaurants, bars, and additional functions. Funspot, according to this argument then, should be considered a "family center", which just so happens to have the world's largest arcade.

What do you think?

A good point. I agree, but maybe we call it a new category all together? I think restaurant is not a good label, either.
