Description
Drive a Formula 1 race car on courses in eight different countries. Player must finish the race (one lap) with a certain minimum ranking to proceed to the next course. If the player does not finish a race he may add a credit and try again on the same course, keeping his existing ranking, but the last course, Japan, can be run only once and then the game is over.
This is basically your beat-the-clock type of racing. However, if you get hit by a passing car or track barriers, your car will begin to smoke, meaning you'll have to stop at a nearby pitstop to have your car extinguished. Otherwise, the smoke will develop into fire, which will cause your car to explode, wasting precious time when you start up again. Your car will also explode if you get hit again, after getting hit once.
Also called Continental Circus, the name perhaps as a result of a translation error, but the name is based on the early Roman definition of circus where the word was associated with chariot & horse racing.
