This year, the Battle of the Arcades tournament returns on March 9th (12pm-11pm est) and 10th (12pm-5pm est) pitting a trifecta of arcade giants against each other in an epic classic gaming showdown. The Kencade in Oregon, the Pinball Wizard arcade in New Hampshire and the Richie Knucklez arcade in New Jersey will feature a who’s who of competitive arcade gamers in a revolutionary team format where players are encouraged to coach each other to help propel their arcade to the top of the gaming landscape.
Last year, the Kencade topped the field led by scoreboard luminaries such as John McAllister and Matt Hall, however last year’s runner up, the Richie Knucklez arcade with a roster chock full of big names such as Hank Chien, Steve Wagner, George Leutz and Bryan Wagner are ready to take the next step. The Pinball Wizard adds arguably the greatest classic gamer in the world, Donald Hayes to their roster this year, in addition to tournament forces such as Jason Cram and David Nelson so this year’s title is certainly up for grabs.
