Yes, as far as I know the gameplay is the same. Set it to Difficulty Rank B and Extra lives at 20k and 70k.
If there are obvious gameplay differences we may have to talk about its eligability but unless its pointed out as a problem I am allowing pretty much any way to play the game.

I just checked my 48-in-1, on the soft dips within the test mode for the board (where you go to set all the game settings) if you set the first one in the difficulty to ON and the other 2 OFF, it says Rank B. There's no way to verify it by going into test mode like on a real machine, since you can't access the individual games test modes. It's also able to set to 20K and 70K for extra men (that one shows on the coin up screen) Unfortunately, I don't know enough about the gameplay to tell the difference on the different ranks :( Is there an easy way to tell on level 1?

Rank B is Rank B. If you can get that going feel free to stream some. I dont know if you can tell on level 1 but I think on level 2 the cats will be slightly faster than you on rank B

No problem. I was able to change and save those settings for Mappy on Arcade Legends. Difficulty: B Number of Mappy's: 3 Bonus Mappy's: 1st at 20,000 & 2nd at 70,000

When streaming a bit tonight I fired up Mappy, and got 23,130 on my 2nd try. Lucky, I am aware. I know Fred can top this one for sure if he gives it a go, and I doubt I have the skills to do any better than that so I think I'm done. http://www.twitch.tv/marky_d/b/300473644

Last night I noticed the Gosenzo coin will get stuck if you don't use the trampolines. I don't know if this happens on the Arcade version or if this is just a MAME bug. I lost my Mappy Board a while ago so I cant test it. http://www.twitch.tv/bithproudmoore/b/300600671
