The rom itself (version C) was actually changed at some point. You'll either have two extends at 10k/50k or one extend at 200k. This needs a ruling.

I say pick the older one what awards 2 lives. That's the one we used in CT1. But if you have a great score with the 1 extra at 200k, you can use it.

I am playing with the new version that only allows one extra life at 200K. Y'all can play with whatever version you want, it won't matter - muhah, muhah, muhah, ha.

Would it be acceptable to start with 4 lives in newer versions of MAME? 4+1 = 5, and you really have to earn that extra life too :P Pretty much anyone can get the 10k extra life anyway on old versions, so it may as well be 4 to start...

The problem is, the old version may not be available anymore, so those who have it would have an advantage.

Just play 4+1 and quit yer bitchin' reigning champ. It's also an unfair advantage that Zerst secretly plays these games all day every day just in hopes that they may find there way into a Crap Tourney. ;)
