This clip from an email I saved should answer your question about tokens.
3. TOKEN Rankings? Huh? Hobbits?
A way of ranking players based on quality of submissions, not quantity. Players will aquire TOKEN points for each submission. The number of TOKENs is based on a few factors:
a. The number of submissions on a game. For our example, we'll say 100 submissions have been posted on Moon Patrol.
b. If Ben has the High Score on Moon Patrol, he will have the top score of 100 people.
c. His TOKEN score will be the following: (Number of Submissions / Rank Percentage). So his score being 100%, his TOKEN score is 100
d. Let's say Bob has 2nd place with 80% of the High Score. His TOKEN score is 80, not 99.
This allows a few factors to weigh in. One being the percentage of the High Score, the other being the total number of submissions. If a game has only one submission, the TOKEN value for it is only 1. A game with 10 submissions would give the High Score TOKEN value of 10, etc. This helps drive competition and rewards the players for it. This *also* allows for TOKEN values to drop when a new High Score is entered. So if someone put in a new High Score for Moon Patrol, there would be 101 submissions. But the former High Score is now 95% of the new one, so that submissions new TOKEN value is 95 (rounded).
All players have two TOKEN values:
a. Total TOKENs acquired
b. TOKEN average. The mathematical average of their TOKENs across all games.
Players are ranked by both values, so you can see who has the most TOKENs, and who has the best average.

Is there a way to view a list of users, sorted by those who have the most Tokens? Curious to see such a list.

Matt, the number of tokens will change depending on how many people have played and where your score is in relation to the high score.

I see it's going to take a long while for some of the cool features on this website to be implemented. There's been talk on revamping the entire token system so that it makes more sense. Some of us have had access to a kiosk that will display a player's Aurcade score with the player card system. What Mases wrote, reminded me of something else I heard, and that is the feature of seeing two players' scores side by side on games they each have scores on to see how they compare. Hopefully we'll be seeing some of these neat features in the near future -Duc, dddang@att.net
