You may be right, however this has been a debate that both games were released at about the same time. Personally, I rarely saw Wacko and never saw this other game growing up so I couldn't tell you which came first. Indeed both games came out in 1982.

Hmm. I recall seeing a Kozmic Kroozer cabinet in my days, but never played it. I did play however Wacko a little bit. I have to doubt that KK was intended to be a sequel to Wacko, since it wasn't a popular title.

New manufacturer in database
on 8/5/2011 7:21:26 AM
It's a very rare treat to post a new company to the database, but we feel confident this company will be pushing out great new amusement products for many years to come.

Jersey Jack Pinball joins the database.

They plan to release their first product in December 2011.

Two new entries grace our database today.

Western Gun: an 1975 head to head shooter by Taito

Striker Xtreme: the first pinball machine by the modern Stern Pinball era in 2000

I still await the day where the pinball machines can be linked to ipdb.org instead of klov.com.

New redemption game in the database.

Another game hits the list. This one's got a long name.

Shikigami No Shiro III: a vertical shoot-em-up by Alfa System in 2005

(I'll probably have to add the other two to the list as well)

Also, it's worth noting that we've got our first siting of the new Elevator Action: Death Parade game and the Let's Go Island game.
Supposedly the venue also has Initial D Ver 6 but I'm still waiting for confirmation.

Heads up info regarding spotting games
on 8/23/2011 3:49:29 PM
Attention all arcade hunters and players!

I am noticing more and more that some locations are getting lazy with matching the marquee signs with the game cabinet they are on. In some cases the sign is simply missing. In others, the arcade owner switched out the game and forgot to switch out the marquee sign too. Pay attention to what the game is!

The biggest example I found of this is in Daytona USA 2. On this game the marquee sign says Daytona USA 2: Battle on the Edge, but when you look closer at the attract mode, you will discover the game is actually Daytona USA 2: Power Edition. This version adds a fourth track and a fourth car to choose from. I am finding this to be a very common oversight on the arcade owners so make sure you check it out next time you visit your favorite arcade. (Interestingly enough, one of my local game rooms has a cardboard sign on top of the marquee that describes in detail what additions and changes were made to Daytona USA 2).

Happy gaming! (and happy game hunting too!)
