Barcade Brooklyn Williams Challenge Results
on 3/18/2013 1:23:45 PM
Didn't see them posted so figured I'd take the initiative since a couple of folks asked on Victor's Missile Command stream yesterday.
All games were 1 Life Only and the tourney ran from 12pm-5pm eastern.
1st: Donald Hayes 2nd: Steve Wagner 3rd: Mark Michaels
Tournament High Scores (First Life Only):
Defender: 98,025 (Nader) Joust: 278,800 (Donald Hayes) Make Trax: 117,140 (Donald Hayes) Moon Patrol: 116,730 (Donald Hayes) Robotron: 211,450 (Dominic) Sinistar: 113,335 (Steve Wagner)
After losing Moon Patrol by 3k points, as per our bet, I'm now forced to go Toobin' with Scott Doyle. (Dressed as Bif but sans Speedo)

Are full results with scores for all players posted anywhere? I checked the event listing at aurcade (http://www.aurcade.com/events/view.aspx?id=96), the aurcade scoreboard, the Barcade site, and Twin Galaxies, but didn't find anything.
Thanks, George

Hi George. We received printouts from Barcade at the end of the tourney but I cannot locate mine right now. I did make a personal note of my scores below during the contest so I have that if that is of any interest.

Nice scores Steve! 100k first man on MP is always a solid score. Ever pay attention to your best 1st man ever?

Hi Bill, I've completed 2 Challenge Courses on my first in the past I'm sure at some point. I was a bit disappointed to not finish one of them this go around, I played 2 games of Moon Patrol (or 2 men I suppose technically) and died on the same plant both times lol.

I wanted to go, stupid airline ticket prices to NY are plane stupid.
I was rooting for you Wag, if you could just learn to play Robotron better :)
What was the prize money. Was there any mention of the next tourney.

$600 for 1st + barcade gift card + t-shirt/prize pack $300 for 2nd + barcade gift card + t-shirt/prize pack $100 for 3rd + barcade gift card + t-shirt/prize pack Very generous prizes. You made me $200 technically. Thanks John! Paul (Barcade) said they were very pleased with the first one and that they will be doing another but did not yet mention the date/timeframe.

FWIW, my best ever first man on Moon Patrol is 207k. I'm quite proud of that. My PB for a normal game of it is still the 334k I got at the first BOTA.
