T20 Tournament, May 28th through June 1st.

"Join us for a major arcade high score tournament at the Galloping Ghost Arcade! The main tournament will consist of 20 games that will be announced at the start of the tournament! Full stream coverage. Cash & prizes to the winners! This will be the first of an annual event. With Funspot unable to run their tournament this year, we hope that we can accommodate the high score community. In the future, the tournament date will be later in the the year as to not conflict with Funspots' established event. Do not miss this high scoring event!"

Doc purposely put the tournament the same weekend as Funspot would have been, in order to give people an option in lieu of the ACAM tourney being gone. 

Clint, we had no idea there was even a possibility of an event happening. The same week that FunSpot publicly announced their tournament cancellation, GGA announced this event. It wasn't intended to be a conflict.

That's a good way of putting it.

The sad thing is that we canceled our reservation out east after the initial announcement, because we needed to do so ASAP to get our deposit back. I wish we had known something was in the works, because it's likely we would have kept our plans.

The "official" Funspot tournament may have been cancelled but there is still going to be an AURCADE tournament that same weekend and at Funspot. It's going to be a John's Arcade Impossible Outsiders tournament. This was announced pretty soon after Funspot cancelled the tournament. Not new news. 

We have people flying in from all over the country for the event. It's going to ROCK!!

I announced the Funspot tournament back in January. Well before the Galloping Ghost tournament was announced.

I heard about it Magfest weekend around 24-26th Jan. Doesn't matter though, there's room for 2 events. Not like they are close to each other.

How recently have you been up there John? I'm not kidding when I say 50% of the games in November had an issue that affected gameplay. It's gotten much worse than usual.

You guys just have to trust me on this. The game topic has been taken care of. The games will not be an issue for the tournament.

We all saw it... the Fun Spot tournament was CANCELLED and Doc Mack filled the void. It is great to see that John stepped in to keep the Fun Spot tourney running, but that was after the GGA announcement of the T20 tournament.

This is stupid to debate, but I announced the tournament on the 23rd and before GGA. I was told immediately when they announced it cause people were like WTF?
