A brand new carnival thriller similar to Carn-Evil hits the arcades! Be on the lookout at your favorite arcade or entertainment center that often has the latest and greatest games in it!
This one just might be a keeper!

Oh, and another classic fighter by request also hits the database.

Shhh....! Welcome to Frightmareland: A rail shooter made by Global VR in 2011
Dead or Alive: Fighting game by Tecmo in 1996

Two games arrive in the database this week.

Rail Chase: A shooter made by Sega in 1991
Golden Tee Live 2012: Made by Incredible Tech. in 2011

Note: Incredible Technologies has an arcade tracking database of their own for their Golden Tee Live series cabinets. As a result, locations that only have the Golden Tee Live series game will not be added to the database. If the location has other games (like Rail Chase, Ms. Pac-Man, etc) along with this game, then this game can be added.

A new company has joined the database.

Adrenaline Amusements- This company currently features arcade machines that use touch screen controls to play the games. Their breakout arcade hit was Fruit Ninja FX.
They have several projects lined up for release in the near future including Infinity Blade FX.

Also just added TV Hockey, a pong clone from the 70's that came in 2 and 4 player models. It doesn't show up in a search on KLOV, but it's in their database (found it using google). Also added their manufacturer, Amutronics, since they weren't in the database here.

Do these latest games have locations or are they just being added because it was requested?

I actually brought up that very topic in a previous thread... encouraging entries into the database that are actually found on location.

Yes, the most recent entry was found at Gamecenter Arcade, a relatively new arcade in California that's only been open for about 8 months now.

The TV Hockey game was sited at Robot City Arcade

GuitarFreaks XG and DrumMania XG were found at Round One Entertainment Center.

(If someone requests games be put in, I make a note saying that it was "by request")

Good question, thanx for asking. :)

I've only added games that are located out in the wild. If for some reason the game is no longer there sometime in the future, and if it was the only one, then it would no longer have any on location, of course.

For the most part, I stick to that as well. Only adding games that are actually found on location, however I must admit I don't always follow this practice. My biggest deviation from this is when brand new games are unveiled that are about to come out but haven't been spotted anywhere yet. Games like Pac-Man Battle Royale, TRON Legacy, Elevator Action: Death Parade, Wizard of Oz, Friction, Infinity Blade FX, and Let's go Island just to name a few were games I added to the database because those games would eventually make it out to locations in the wild... it was just a matter of time and I want the database to be ready when people do spot those games.
Infinity Blade FX debuted at Dave & Busters this weekend so it should be out there by now. Everyone one of those games is on location somewhere (except for Wizard of Oz which will be unveiled any week now!)
I guess I should ask what your real concerns are. Yes it is always possible that any game suddenly disappears from locations. I've noticed a decline in the number of Hydro Thunder games lately in place of H2Overdrive. Does this mean Hydro Thunder will no longer be in the database? Of course not. People will still be interested in that game for years. And you never know when a location decides to bring it back. We'll be ready. :)
